Ruptura II (juntas) is an archive of spare parts manufactured in Cuban houses (specifically, rubber gaskets for pressure cookers.) Each rubber sealing ring is attached and handled by a homemade hand puppet, commercialized in the city. I collected the puppets and the spare parts in Havana.
The collection of hand puppets includes creations by Blanca Marqués and Arelys Alvarez, among other unidentifiable artists.
